James “Jack” Gies, age 86, of Whitewater passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on December 16, 2022. Jack was born in Harvard, Illinois, the son of the late John and Florence Gies. We are a family-owned and operated funeral home in our third generation of Olson ownership. We have been serving the Bloomer community and Chippewa Valley for over 70 years. Eugene R. Staude, 80 of Rome, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Marquardt Manor of Watertown.
